How the referral program works

Step 1

Refer a business

Tell us about a business that may benefit from HR Options' services. You should have an existing personal or professional relationship with the business and permission to share its contact information with us.

Step 2

We start the conversation

An HR Options representative will connect with the business to better understand its workforce needs, challenges, and goals — and determine whether HR Options is the right fit.

Step 3

You may earn a reward

Eligible participants may receive rewards when a Qualified Referral completes certain milestones, such as meeting with HR Options or becoming an active HR Options client.

Referral rewards

Depending on the service and referral outcome, eligible participants may qualify for:

$100

Completed meeting reward

Earn a $100 digital reward when an eligible referral is deemed a qualified prospect after the first meeting with an HR Options representative.

$250

Employer of Record referral reward

A one-time fee of $250 per eligible EOR employee included in the referred client's first complete, funded payroll.

Maximum $5,000 per referred client

$100

Managed payroll, HR consulting & leave admin

A one-time fee of $100 per eligible employee included on the referred client's first qualifying invoice.

Maximum $5,000 per referred client

Eligibility requirements, service requirements, payment timing, reward limits, and other conditions apply. Read the full Program Terms and Conditions.

Who should you refer?

A strong referral is typically a business that is actively evaluating a solution to an employment, payroll, leave, or HR challenge.

The referred business may be headquartered in the United States, Canada, or another country, provided that it has a legitimate need for HR Options services involving employees or operations in the United States or Canada.

  • Wants to hire employees in the United States without establishing its own local employment infrastructure
  • Is expanding into Canada and needs help navigating Canadian employment requirements
  • Needs to employ workers in states where it is not registered
  • Has an unusual, seasonal, project-based, or variable hiring need
  • Wants to reduce the administrative demands of payroll
  • Needs experienced support for a sensitive or complicated HR matter
  • Is struggling to manage employee leave requirements
  • Has an HR team that needs additional capacity or specialized expertise
  • Needs practical guidance from professionals who have managed real-world HR operations
  • Wants a more responsive, accountable alternative to a large, impersonal provider

A few things to know before referring

To help protect everyone involved:

  • You must have an existing personal or professional relationship with the business you are referring.
  • The business must give you permission to share its information with HR Options.
  • Referrals must represent a new business opportunity for HR Options.
  • Purchased lists, scraped contacts, mass outreach, and unsolicited referrals are not eligible.
  • Employees involved in the referred company's purchasing decision may not be eligible to receive a reward.
  • Referral eligibility and reward approval are determined by HR Options under the Program Terms and Conditions.

You do not need to determine whether the business meets every Program requirement before making an introduction. Submit the referral, and our team will review it.

Frequently asked questions

Who can participate?
Individuals who meet the eligibility requirements in the Program Terms and Conditions may participate. This may include clients, professional advisors, business contacts, and other individuals with a legitimate relationship with the referred business. Certain HR Options employees, brokers, channel partners, decision-makers, and other individuals may be excluded or subject to separate agreements.
Does the business need to be located in the United States?
No. The business may be headquartered in the United States, Canada, or another country. It must, however, have a legitimate need for HR Options services involving employees or operations in the United States or Canada.
When are referral rewards paid?
Reward timing depends on the service and referral milestone. Cash rewards are generally not paid until the referred client has completed onboarding, paid the applicable invoices or payroll funding, remained active for the required period, and satisfied all Program requirements.
Can I refer more than one business?
Yes. You may submit multiple referrals, provided each referral independently satisfies the Program requirements.
What happens after I submit a referral?
HR Options will review the information and, when appropriate, contact the referred business. We may also contact you if additional information is required.
Will every referral result in a reward?
No. A submitted referral is not automatically a Qualified Referral. The business, Participant, service engagement, and referral process must meet the requirements stated in the Program Terms and Conditions.
